VNG launches 2023 Code Tour with prizes up to VND 375 million

Code Tour 2023, a highly anticipated coding competition, has officially been launched. This renowned contest will consist of three qualifying rounds held in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

The first qualifying round is scheduled for July 8, 2023, in Da Nang, with an estimated participation of over 200 contestants vying for a spot in the next round.

In the final round, the top 60 participants from the three regions will gather at VNG Campus for the prestigious Code Tour Summit. Contestants residing in Hanoi and Da Nang will receive sponsorship to attend the final round in HCMC, and exceptional candidates will be considered for VNG’s recruitment programs. The winner of the competition will be awarded VND 20 million.

Code Tour 2023 has established strategic partnerships with leading universities in Vietnam, including Vietnam National University HCMC-University of Technology, University of Da Nang-University of Science and Technology, and Vietnam National University Hanoi-University of Engineering and Technology. The competition also enjoys support from Vietnam National University HCMC-University of Information Technology, University of Da Nang-University of Science and Education, and Hanoi University of Science and Technology-School of Information and Communications Technology. The challenges for Code Tour are meticulously designed by experienced organizing committees and professors from these institutions to ensure academic standards and fairness across the three regions.

Do Dinh Dac emerged as the champion of Code Tour 2022, surpassing 3,688 contestants.

Initially established as Saigon Code Tour, an open programming contest for technology enthusiasts in Ho Chi Minh City, Code Tour has evolved over the years. Contestants are required to solve math and problem-solving questions within a limited time frame. To elevate the excitement, Code Tour has been organized in unconventional coding locations such as Notre Dame Cathedral, Bitexco Financial Tower, and Saigon Princess cruise.

After five years since its launch, Code Tour has attracted over 7,000 contestants, demonstrating its popularity within the technology community. The competition provides an opportunity for students to challenge their knowledge and embodies VNG’s spirit of “Embracing challenges.” Code Tour 2022 champion Do Dinh Dac expressed his hopes for the community’s growth, enabling eager minds to enhance their algorithmic knowledge and connect with like-minded young talents.
