VNG joins Vietnam Game Development Alliance

On June 30, 2022, the launching ceremony of the Vietnam Game Development Alliance (VGDA) officially took place at White Palace Convention Center, HCMC under the Ministry of Information and Communications chairmanship.

VGDA pursues the mission of developing the Vietnamese gaming industry according to the global trend. The organization now has over 40 members with 10 companies on the Coordination Committee, including VNG, Vietnam Esports, GOSU Corp, SohaGame, VTC Game, Gamota, Funtap, Viettel Media, Travellet, and Solarpay.

Mr. Pham Anh Tuan – Deputy Minister of Information and Communications said: “The establishment of VGDA is proof of the solidarity among domestic game producers and publishers. In addition, it indicates the importance of the gaming industry in accelerating digitalization.”

In the near future, the Ministry of Information and Communications wanted the Coordination Committee of the Alliance to focus on three key goals. Firstly, accompany regulators in reviewing infringing games and support domestic enterprises in improving competitiveness. Second, cooperate to promote talent acquisition programs in the gaming industry. Third, organize gaming competitions and seminars for students, companies, and members of the Alliance.

On behalf of VNG, Ms. Nguyen Thu Trang said: “VNG hopes that the Alliance would together develop human resources and organize meaningful programs for the community, with the aim of developing our national gaming industry.”
