UpRace 2022 contributes nearly 2 billion VND to “One Heart – One World” program

On Vietnamese Day of Persons with Disabilities, April 18, 2023, UpRace 2022, the community running platform developed by VNG donated nearly 2 billion to the 18th One Heart – One World program, in supporting for the Association in support of Vietnamese handicapped and orphans (ASVHO).

During 5 years of operation, Uprace has successfully promoted sports and spread the spirit of solidarity to hundreds of thousands of athletes across the country. For each kilometer of running recorded on the UpRace app, VNG and the race sponsors will donate at least 1000 VND to assigned social partners.

To date, UpRace has contributed nearly 25 billion VMD to 7 social partners, including the ASVHO. In 2022, more than 3.3 billion VND was donated to the organization through the race. With this funding, the Association has awarded 1123 scholarships to underprivileged students with disabilities and disadvantages, provided livelihood to 57 disabled people for a more stable, better life.

Speaking at the event, Nguyen Trong Dam, Chairman of the ASVHO Central Committee in the 6th tenure, expressed willingness to cooperate with VNG in volunteering activities, with an aim to provide a better future for people with disabilities and orphans across the country.

VNG was recently awarded the “Most Innovative CSR Company Vietnam 2023” by the prestigious Global Business Review magazine. That is the result of the company’s persistent efforts in community-support programs such as the Zalo Connect campaign, andequipping medical facilities for frontline hospitals. Recently, the Vietnam Internet User Community Foundation (VNIF), established in 2010, led by VNG, has been retitled to the Dream Maker Foundation (DMF), with aim of further expanding the foundation’s scope of activities to all fields of education, health, and science, and reinforcing VNG’s commitment to contributing to the community.
