Gunny cooperates with UpRace in the Gunny GO! running tournament, fostering active in the gaming community

The event took place from 05 to 23 April, 2023 in celebration of Gunny Origin’s first birthday. The activity attracted more than 6000 Gunny gamers, together joining forces to connect via healthy activities.

The race welcomed all Gunny players of Origin on both mobile and PC version. After downloading the UpRace app and participating in the Gunny GO! event, gamers can record their running results directly on the app and interact with other gamers. In particular, players can sync their UpRace account with that of Gunny to receive random gifts during the run, along with in-game items for the best final team.

In 19 days, the event attracted 6.024 participants, recording a total distance of 185.000 km, having awarded nearly 200 million VND in total.

Contrary to the stereotype that gamers are “idle and glued to the computer screen”, the event showed the dynamic image of a healthy Gunny community where people run for personal wellness and the team’s achievements. To make the race more exciting to runners, the organizers also initiated a contest in which gamers used GPS mapping to create creative routes.

With the goal of building a healthy, socially responsible team, VNG has coordinated with its gaming community to deploy meaningful programs. In the 2022 Lunar New Year, ZingPlay Studio, VNG and its gamers jointly provided almost 200 supporting packages in money and in kinds to children at Children’s Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. Also, in 2020, on behalf of the Vietnam PUBG Mobile eSport community, VNG donated 1.5 billion VND to Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee in supporting of people in the central region to overcome natural catastrophies.
